Concerning the publication by Schlesinger of Heinrichshofen of Burchard's arrangement of two pianos, eight-hands, of the "Waffentanz" from Spohr's Jessonda; at the bottom of the page is a note in pencil signed C.B., apparently in Burchard's hand; attached to the letter are two other manuscript documents: a note signed C.F. Peters, dated Leipzig, May 1873, granting publication rights to Burchard's arrangement; and a "Verlags-Schein," signed by Carl Burchard, dated Dresden, 6 June 1873, granting Schlesinger (Rob. Lineau, Berlin) the rights to publish the arrangement.
